Job Description

• Overall responsibility for an internationally operating, approximately 80-person team in Accounting & Controlling – with direct management of several executives.

• Inspiring leadership and further development of the organizational unit with the clear goal of aligning structures, competencies, and processes for the future.

• Responsibility for all accounting processes and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) – ideally also IFRS – for a growth-oriented group.

• Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners in coordinating tax matters.

• Strategic management of the Controlling and Financial Planning & Analysis departments – with the goal of systematically expanding Controlling and developing it into an active driver of well-founded management decisions.

• Ensuring precise, target-oriented financial reporting for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and Other national and international stakeholders

• Responsibility for the IT-related development of the entire finance department – ​​from process digitalization to the implementation of future-oriented software solutions

• Sparring partner: within the management team at eye level – with noticeable influence on strategic decisions within the company

Qualifications

• Above-average university degree in business administration, finance, controlling, or a comparable field

• Several years of proven success in a senior management position in finance, ideally in an internationally positioned company

• In-depth knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB), group accounting, and ideally IFRS and tax issues

• Proven expertise in the design of financial processes, reporting systems, and digitally supported controlling

• Clear leadership personality: strong, convincing, inspiring – with a modern leadership style and a strong team orientation

• Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to present complex financial topics in a comprehensible and decision-ready manner for top management

• Strong communication skills and a confident demeanour at C-level

• Fluent German language skills as well as very good written and spoken English skills
